Discover the timeless charm of Rosa 'Zéphirine Drouhin', one of the most beloved historic roses from our Belle Epoque collection. This special rose was introduced in 1868 by breeder Bizot and has since become an icon in gardens worldwide.
What truly makes Rosa 'Zéphirine Drouhin' unique are its thornless stems – ideal for families and gardeners seeking a gentle climber. Its semi-double, bowl-shaped flowers have a warm pink hue and emit an intense, sweet fragrance.
This versatile rose can be used in various ways:
-
As a climbing rose, it can reach a height of up to 4 meters and is perfect for covering walls, pergolas, and fences.
-
As a shrub rose, it remains more compact, around 2.5 meters, forming a beautiful, bushy eye-catcher in borders.
With its long blooming period from May through October, Rosa 'Zéphirine Drouhin' offers months of floral splendor and scent. It is also known for its strong growth and vitality, making it suitable for novice rose lovers as well.
At Belle Epoque, we grow our roses with care and passion, ensuring you receive a healthy plant straight from the nursery. Add Rosa 'Zéphirine Drouhin' to your garden and enjoy the perfect blend of historic beauty, fragrance, and ease.

Roses in pots
A potted rose is a rose plant that has already been grown in a pot and is delivered with a well-developed root system. These roses are ready to be planted directly in the garden or in a larger pot, without having to wait for root growth. This makes the potted rose ideal for planting throughout the year, especially from May through October.
Roses with bare roots
Bare-root roses – also called root roses – are rose plants delivered without a pot or soil. These roses are dormant and can be planted directly in open ground. The best time to plant a root rose is in autumn or early spring, when the soil is still moist and the temperature mild.
At Belle Epoque we supply bare-root roses from November through April. Thanks to the well-developed root system and the right planting conditions, these roses grow vigorously into healthy and bloom-rich bushes or climbing roses.
Products are shipped directly from the nursery every Monday and Wednesday. By delivering only twice a week, we reduce logistical emissions and optimise our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
