The Rosa ‘Peace’, also known by the names ‘Gioia’, ‘Gloria Dei’ and ‘Mme. A. Meilland’, is perhaps the most famous rose in the world. This icon was spread worldwide after the Second World War as a living symbol of peace and harmony, and is among the most beloved large-flowered roses of all time.
Its enchanting flowers combine a soft, yellow base with a subtle crimson edge. The large, full flowers appear from June to October and provide a beautiful play of colours in the garden. With a height ranging from 80 cm to over 2 metres, Rosa ‘Peace’ can be used as a solitary eye-catcher, in a border, or even in a pot.
It is no coincidence that this rose has been awarded numerous prizes and the title Top rose: it is healthy, vigorous and reliable, making it also suitable for beginning rose lovers. Its light scent enhances the serene atmosphere that this historic rose brings with it.

Roses in pots
A potted rose is a rose plant that has already been grown in a pot and is delivered with a well-developed root system. These roses are ready to be planted directly in the garden or in a larger pot, without having to wait for root growth. This makes the potted rose ideal for planting throughout the year, especially from May through October.
Roses with bare roots
Bare-root roses – also called root roses – are rose plants delivered without a pot or soil. These roses are dormant and can be planted directly in open ground. The best time to plant a root rose is in autumn or early spring, when the soil is still moist and the temperature mild.
At Belle Epoque we supply bare-root roses from November through April. Thanks to the well-developed root system and the right planting conditions, these roses grow vigorously into healthy and bloom-rich bushes or climbing roses.
Products are shipped directly from the nursery every Monday and Wednesday. By delivering only twice a week, we reduce logistical emissions and optimise our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
