Dive into the world of historic charm with the Climbing Rose Veilchenblau, a timeless beauty that has won hearts worldwide since 1909. Also known as the “Blue Rambler”, this rose comes closer to the dream of a blue rose than almost any other variety.

Veilchenblau forms large clusters of 10–30 flowers per stem, with the lush bloom almost completely covering the dark green foliage. Each flower is 4–5 cm wide and opens in soft violet-purple shades with a golden-yellow heart. Together they create a fairy-tale sight that will completely transform your pergola, wall, or rose arch.

The blooming lasts 2 to 3 months in spring and early summer and is accompanied by a rich, fruity scent that fills the entire garden. Thanks to its strong growth (up to 6 meters tall) and excellent disease resistance, Veilchenblau is a carefree choice for every garden lover.

Whether you want to cover a wall, make a pergola shine, or simply enjoy the romantic charm of a historic rambler, the Climbing Rose Veilchenblau is a guarantee of beauty and atmosphere.

At Belle Epoque we grow with passion and tradition. Our roses come straight from the nursery to your garden – healthy, vital, and of the highest quality.

Roses in pots

A potted rose is a rose plant that has already been grown in a pot and is delivered with a well-developed root system. These roses are ready to be planted directly in the garden or in a larger pot, without having to wait for root growth. This makes the potted rose ideal for planting throughout the year, especially from May through October.

Roses with bare roots

Bare-root roses – also called root roses – are rose plants delivered without a pot or soil. These roses are dormant and can be planted directly in open ground. The best time to plant a root rose is in autumn or early spring, when the soil is still moist and the temperature mild.

At Belle Epoque we supply bare-root roses from November through April. Thanks to the well-developed root system and the right planting conditions, these roses grow vigorously into healthy and bloom-rich bushes or climbing roses.

Products are shipped directly from the nursery every Monday and Wednesday. By delivering only twice a week, we reduce logistical emissions and optimise our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
