Lava meal – natural nourishment and soil improver for roses (375 g)
Give your roses a healthy foundation with lava meal, a 100% natural product made from finely ground volcanic rock. Lava meal is rich in minerals and trace elements and contributes to strong growth, improved flowering, and a resilient rose garden.
Benefits of lava meal for roses
- Improvement of soil structure – makes heavy soil more airy and ensures better water management.
- Rich in minerals – contains among others silicon, magnesium, potassium, and calcium which are essential for healthy roots and flower formation.
- Resilient plants – increases the resistance of roses against fungi and pests.
- Stronger leaves and deeper colours – silicon supports leaf green and ensures more vigorous growth and rich flowering.
- 100% natural – suitable for organic cultivation and completely free from chemical additives.
Application
- New planting: mix lava meal through the planting hole for healthy root development.
- Existing rose bushes and climbing roses: sprinkle the powder around the base of the plant and lightly work it into the soil.
- Leaf application: lightly dusting over leaves helps counter fungi such as powdery mildew.
Dosage
-
Package 375 g – sufficient for about 15 rose plants.
-
Use about 20–25 g per plant (about 2 tablespoons), 2–3 times per year.
With lava meal 375 g you give your rose bushes and climbing roses the natural support they need to bloom healthy and strong season after season.
Roses in pots
A potted rose is a rose plant that has already been grown in a pot and is delivered with a well-developed root system. These roses are ready to be planted directly in the garden or in a larger pot, without having to wait for root growth. This makes the potted rose ideal for planting throughout the year, especially from May through October.
Roses with bare roots
Bare-root roses – also called root roses – are rose plants delivered without a pot or soil. These roses are dormant and can be planted directly in open ground. The best time to plant a root rose is in autumn or early spring, when the soil is still moist and the temperature mild.
At Belle Epoque we supply bare-root roses from November through April. Thanks to the well-developed root system and the right planting conditions, these roses grow vigorously into healthy and bloom-rich bushes or climbing roses.
Products are shipped directly from the nursery every Monday and Wednesday. By delivering only twice a week, we reduce logistical emissions and optimise our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
