The Rosa Bathsheba® (Auschimbley) is an enchanting English climbing rose by David Austin, introduced at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2016. With its apricot-yellow buds that open into shallow cupped rosettes in soft shades of apricot-pink and yellow, it brings a touch of romance to any garden.
Its flowers are not only beautiful to behold but also a delight for the nose. The rich myrrh scent with hints of honey and tea makes this rose a true experience. Bathsheba® is a repeat-flowering rose that blooms several times per season, from early summer well into autumn.
With a growth strength up to 3 meters, this rose is ideal for covering pergolas, rose arches, and walls. Its bushy growth habit and healthy, dark green leaves form a perfect backdrop for the lush flowers.
Inspired by Bathsheba Everdene, the heroine from Far from the Madding Crowd by Thomas Hardy, this rose radiates the same strength and charm.
Whether you choose a classic garden or a modern design, the Rosa Bathsheba® always adds timeless grace and fragrant beauty.

Roses in pots
A potted rose is a rose plant that has already been grown in a pot and is delivered with a well-developed root system. These roses are ready to be planted directly in the garden or in a larger pot, without having to wait for root growth. This makes the potted rose ideal for planting throughout the year, especially from May through October.
Roses with bare roots
Bare-root roses – also called root roses – are rose plants delivered without a pot or soil. These roses are dormant and can be planted directly in open ground. The best time to plant a root rose is in autumn or early spring, when the soil is still moist and the temperature mild.
At Belle Epoque we supply bare-root roses from November through April. Thanks to the well-developed root system and the right planting conditions, these roses grow vigorously into healthy and bloom-rich bushes or climbing roses.
Products are shipped directly from the nursery every Monday and Wednesday. By delivering only twice a week, we reduce logistical emissions and optimise our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
